My first Etsy store item

Posted by on Mar 30, 2012 in Handmade | 0 comments

I have been an Etsy member for a long time, I had plans on selling things a long time ago but never did. This past weekend I was bored and decided to make something. I am pretty good with my hands and love working and fixing things. But I had a bunch of old wood laying around from the bookshelf that I build Ben for Xmas and wanted to make something out of it, something simple. I decided to make a key rack and this is what I came up with!

You can check out my store, Ill probably be making some more soon. My Etsy Store!

Etsy iPhone App Review

I really love handmade stuff and Etsy! This morning while browsing the App store on my iPhone I saw there was a new Etsy App which I immediately downloaded, its also a free app! When you first launch the app you are taken to the main screen which consists of a search bar and featured items and just below that the Popular Treasury Lists. The bottom of the app is a menu bar so you can easily switch between the different screens. The graphics of the app are great as well which I love to see, I hate when an app lacks good graphics quality, makes almost any app just that much better.

This video, about their new mobile app, is also just the cutest! Take a gander…

One the menu bar you have the home, search, account, shop (if you have one) and shopping cart buttons. Which makes navigation through the app very easy. The search page allows you to type in a search or you can browse the main categories. The account page gives you access to all your account information, purchases, favorites, treasuries, and feedback. If you have an Etsy shop you can also access all your shop info like orders, items, and change all your shop info. I do have a shop but I don’t have anything up for sale now, hope to some day when I have a little more time.

I already mentioned the great graphics quality of the app but the speed of the app is also great, pages load very quickly. This is definitely going to up my Etsy purchases! And I highly recommend getting this app if you love handmade stuff and Etsy!
